Until the last century, our global culture had showed little interest for the knowledge acquired by the ancient civilizations but a profound desire to find out about ourselves, our evolution as a species – past, present and future - is now making us look very closely at their contributions.  The uncovering of knowledge of past cultures and the greater availability of specialist information show that we have all collectively entered a critical transformational phase between an old world that is dying and a new one that is emerging. What we are presently witnessing is a convergence of science, spirituality and ancient native wisdom and more and more links are found to bridge ancient traditions wisdom to modern science.  The dissolving of boundaries separating science and spirituality is enabling long-suppressed ancient wisdom knowledge to re-emerge at last.  Material which had been kept “hidden” for so long by those working against humanity’s spiritual growth is now re-surfacing and made available to the public thanks to the indefatigable work of all the light workers committed to the universal values of peace and solidarity and joining hands to heal the world.

As a living being, the earth has a consciousness of it own.  Unbeknownst to most of us, the divine plan is for the earth to ascend soon and for all life to do the same if it so chooses to.  “The great awakening of the Serpent of the Earth is prophesied in many ancient cultures: The Australian Aborigines say the Rainbow Serpent, Almudj, rises at the end of Time. This is also the great serpent of their Creation myths, the ancient 'Dreamtime'; The Norse have the Midgard Serpent, who also rises at 'Ragnarok' -the 'end of the world'; to the Greeks he is Ouroboros the snake which bites its own tail; and to the Babylonians Tiamat ('serpent of Chaos who sleeps at the bottom of the ocean of time') who was divided into sections (creating linear time) by the sword of the Solar Hero Marduk, and shall eventually return to wholeness (fluidtime/dreamtime). In his book “Serpent of Light: The Movement of the Earth’s Kundalini and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949-2013”, Drunvalo Melchizedek posits that the snake energy of the earth is once again re-emerging from its resting place in the planet’s core centre and that from Lemuria, Atlantis and the Himalayan mountains of India and Tibet where it once inhabited, it has now moved to the Andes Mountains of Chile and Peru.

Since the initiation of this great shift, there have been quantifiable increases in the energy of our planet earth. The earth is now vibrating at a much higher frequency and this coincides with a rapid decrease in the magnetic field surrounding it (some scientists are now talking of a pole reversal of our planet some time in the future).  “The speculation is that there is a correlation between consciousness and magnetics. In the same way as the earth is currently undergoing a phase of deep cleansing and re-balancing by releasing all condensed and negative energy in preparation for its evolutionary transformation for the Age of Aquarius, we too can prepare for the powerful shift in consciousness by releasing all the lower levels of density and move from a materialistic/individualistic reality to a heart-centrered and union-based reality. Many people sense that something is already happening but because what is happening cannot be seen yet (as we are still in the transition period), they find it hard to understand it.  Not many of us have given much thought to consider where this accelerating pattern is taking us, how it is affecting us and how to handle it. The alarming issues of our times from global warming and its profound repercussions to the intensifying threat of terrorism, escalating violence, depleting resources, widening gap between rich and poor countries, insufferable materialism, etc. to name but a few, point to the ultimate unsustainability of our present attitudes and practices and are a manifestation of the karmic pattern of humanity.  Never before in the history of mankind had the Earth’s biosphere been in such a dire predicament.  What we need to understand is that before a new cycle can begin the karma of the previous one has to be cleared.  Everything manifests much faster than before in our lives and the increase of returning karma we are currently facing offers us an opportunity to balance it before the new cycle begins.  Many of us feel tested almost beyond our limits and it is most important to stay anchored in the deep reality of the divine presence within at all times and not succumb to life-depleting thoughts and emotions. All the dark material that keeps coming up to the surface has to be  removed before ascension can begin and for those intent on ascending in 2012 there is not much time left to free themselves from their aggravating past and negative emotions.
