Our Community PartySaturday 5th April

April was our most recent community party, a chance for everyone from Mano’s class and their friends or family to come and join in the fun too! As always there is a yoga class suitable for all abilities, it is also a chance for beginners to see what potential there practice will bring, or just a wow factor to others who don’t take yoga so seriously. The class lasted about 90mins and there were about 35 people participating, it is the one class where we can “let our hair down” relatively because it is not so much of a demanding class than the usual Saturday’s class. |
We watched demonstrations from the wonderful Sabine and beginners tried headstand and scorpion variations (some for their first time ever). Backbends also sneaked their way into the class, as did handstands, peacock and crow variations, and because we all get so carried away a quick relaxation soon followed. After yoga we had food that had been prepared by Mano himself, Sabine, Jeremy, aka Mr Kipling (just because he makes exceedingly good cakes – and ice cream!), Patricia, Nadia and a few others. Not myself because my cooking is what I would call an acquired taste- it seems only for my taste!! |

Infact people even turn up just for the food alone after the yoga practice, by this time there must have been 50 or so people at the party! On offer were assortments of Samosas, spring rolls, pakoras, salad, curry, rice, and plenty, plenty, plenty of desserts!!! Ice-cream of many flavours, Thanks Jeremy! Vegan cheesecake, banana bread, toffee cake and so much more that I can’t remember! |
