The style of yoga that I am teaching was inspired by the late Vanda Scaravelli. It uses gravity, allowing the mind to focus on the breath, which then let’s the body effortlessly ‘undo'. This style of yoga has provided the knowledge to open up to the benefits of self-healing. I have discovered throughout my career how the body has the ability to heal itself if only we can open up to the possibility.

Weekly Classes for all standards:

Mondays 12:30 - 2:15 in Walton-on-Thames
Wednesdays 1:00 - 2:00 in Hersham
Wednesdays 6:30 - 8:00 in Esher

Also twice yearly retreats in the Algarve, Portugal and various workshops in Surrey. See my website for latest details.

Satyananda Yoga classes in Kingston and Surbiton. A typical class is 1 ½ hours long. It consists of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), Yoga Nidra™ (deep relaxation) or meditation.

Satyananda Yoga incorporates the whole person, not just the physical body – it promotes the balance between body, mind, emotions and spirit. There is an emphasis on awareness and students are encouraged to learn about all aspects of their personality through yoga. Through awakening individuals’ awareness and inherent self-healing powers, physical diseases and mental stress can be managed and relieved. By steadying the emotions and calming the mind, a sense of perspective can be gained, bringing a feeling of peace, freedom and inner strength.
